Found this ring in an irrigation canal... here are two pics. Anyone seen this before?

Greetings Aksafari.
I've not seen a ring like that before, but I recognise some symbols as
clearly alchemical.

The three images on the side:
At the top of the picture is the symbol for vinegar. It's upside down due
to ring placement.
The symbol in the middle is for glass.
The third symbol, the encircled cross, is a symbol for distilled copper or
verdigris, but I've also seen it interpreted as oil, gold and common salt.

My guess is that the guy on the ring is some guru and the ring's origin is
from India, but that's just a guess.

For the images on the face of the ring, if we start under the chin and go clockwise:

1. urine
2. essence/essential oil
3. brimstone/black sulphur
4. copiapite - a mineral that forms upon oxidation of iron sulphide;
hydrated iron magnesium sulfate hydroxide
5. white vitriol/atrament
6. this one I can't see due to the scratch - if the hook thing has a line that
goes through the triangle it means "air"; if it doesn't have a line but a dot in the center
of the triangle it means "alkali"
7. tin/jupiter
8. can't see this one
9. can't see but looks like magnesia
10. looks the same as 5
11. crocus veneris
12. vinegar
13. copper acetate
14. antimony; sometimes minium/red lead
15. verdigris; sometimes gold, common salt, oil
16. alkali of tartar

Thanks for your time spent helping me identify the ring. We were leaning heavily toward an alchemical origin, and your confirmation gets us closer. Hopefully someone stumbles by and recognizes the strange man on the ring face. Also, the metal the ring is made of is kind of a mystery, it has an unusual 'feel' and density, plus the sheen is something I wouldn't see except on an element like iridium or osmium. Holding it in your hand is a weird experience.

:)
It certainly is an odd piece.
All those symbols can't be a recipe.
I wonder what is the intention of it.
I would guess some kind of protection or blessing.

The three symbols on the side could be something.
I'm aware of preparations of verdigris and vinegar, but I don't know of
any of them that involve glass in it.

i have another take on the 3 symbols on the side of the ring

tho not perfect representations of the symbols they are all similar to;

top symbol: Mercury/quicksilver
middle symbol: sulfur
bottom symbol: the rotation of the elements/terra(earth)

seems very interesting, from the side of the ring we can definitely suggest the ring is alchemical but to what extent is unclear, as i have yet to look at the symbols on the face of the ring.

the person also baffles me, would suggest some sort of charm or protection

Thanks for the info, gentlemen. Appreciate it. Now I just have to decide what the hell to do with it.

Purifying it first.
