I put this here, cause im fairly certain its a plant... but i have no idea what kind.

It starts out green, seems to turn brown, has this weird, dry, stiff, netting/webbing around most of them. There is no vine, stalk, stem or leaf anywhere around where they were found. We found them out beside the burn-pile in the dirt. Dad thought they were a type of berry, and they do appear to be, but they remind me of a type of seed or "egg-sack" also... but it seems more plant then anything and ive no idea what it is.

A friend suggested a type of bean seed, but i cant find anything that looks like it, so im not sure. Any ideas or info? What could i possibly make out of such a thing?

thanks in advance. :)

hi,
it seems an alkekengi fruit almost decomposed, it's a quite common ornamental plant.
