I found this on a the tomb of one of my ancestors in a church in northern Spain. Does anyone have a guess to its meaning?

hello victar,

most symbols consist of several simple symbols that are put together. just strip it down and you will catch the meaning eventually.

I have no idea what was intended by the symbolism without being given any context or background. But since you're posting on an alchemical website, here's my interpretation, for what it's worth:

S = spiritus, descending via saturnian influence into A = anima/soul.
The hand represents the five elements - they are unified in the palm/A.

The solar glyph with 36 rays -
