I would liketo see a new subforum created for environmental alchemy. i beleive the Tragedy in the gulf coast is a perfect opportunity for alchemist to look up from their beakers and flasks and do something in the real world.

I am very upset and concerned about this, but i also see that it can be an opportunity for alchemists to come out to the closet.

This is going to be a multi-decade clean up. Billions of life forms are going to die, let alone millions of jobs. Alchemists have an ethical duty to plytheir knowledge to heal the environment, not just seek ascension for themselves. This is the way of the boddhisatva.

Just as Paracelsus challenged his contemporaries to heal, rather than enrich themselves, I believe we should be looking to heal the earth, not just look for a way to get the hell out of here. CAn we make a sub forum for this as well, or is this outside the focus of alchemy?

Thank You,
