This year I am thinking to try simpler method "ens melissae":
Just do an extraction by acetone or ether.
Anybody has some experience with something like this?

I experimented with acetone.
I can't really say if it was any better than the alkaline path.
I could certainly feel the medicine.
I don't think I ever took it consistently enough to judge if it was prepared correctly.

I think I posted pics of the evaporated acetone extraction in another thread.

So today I put my homegrown melissa, cutted by a ceramic knife to small pieces /terrible work, certainly not boys play/ in a mason jar with ether.
Also some red rose petals /whole/ in another one.
My dilemma is, keep them in darknes or on the sun?

Hi Horticult,

My dilemma is, keep them in darknes or on the sun?

Neither, if you keep it in the sun you would put fire element on it.
If in darkness it would put water element on it.

Normally we want tinctures to have all 4 elements in balance.

You can keep it in the shade outside.

Even with an Ether extraction, I doubt the Ens will have the legendary properties without the missing ingredient - the putrefied/purified/liquefied Salt.
