I only read a bit of this, but in the first few pages it tells how to make
"poor man's" Aqua Regia, and concentrated nitric acid from Napa battery acid.
I've been wanting to know how to make AR without nitric acid for a
long time. This recipe uses muriatic acid and sodium or potassium nitrate -
pretty easy. It also gives the peroxide method, and the bleach method for
powder or leaf gold.

I'm sure there's much more useful info, but I thought these are important.
