The Seven Metals of Alchemy and Cultivation of the Self by Alfred Raeburne

Lead symbolizes the negative / shadow traits within the self that must be understood and integrated. Meditation on the inner lead connects you to the Soul, the “root” of the Self. It is connected to the Muladhara Chakra of Yoga practice which is located in the base of the spine. Lead also corresponds with Saturn, the shadowy Lord of the Underworld.

Tin symbolizes the flowing, nourishing life force of abundance and well being. Tin teaches us to “have one’s house in order” and have a means of income, transportation, and shelter. Tin corresponds with the Svadisthara chakra which is located below the navel and corresponds with Jupiter, the Lord of Abundance and Well Being.

Iron symbolizes the inner warrior as well as the combative Will that seeks to overcome all obstacles. Iron teaches us to strengthen the body through physical exercise, sports, and martial practice. The aspect of the Self is cultivated through competition and war. Iron corresponds with the Manipura Chakra which is located in the solar plexus. Iron corresponds with Mars, the Lord of Strife.

Copper symbolizes the inner friend and lover as well as embodies different shades of love. Copper engages ones passions and teaches us to love all of the different aspects of the Self as well as develop positive friendships and romantic relationships. Copper is the Love that stimulates Desire so that all things can aspire to unite with their opposite. Copper corresponds with the Anahata Chakra which is located in the heart as well as embodies Venus, the Lady of Love.

Quicksilver teaches us to be flexible as well as cultivate ones voice, writing, and communication skills in general. Quicksilver engages the intellect and aids in understanding languages, chemical formulas, music theory, mathamatics and all forms of abstract knowledge. Quicksilver is also the source of poetry and creative writing. Quicksilver corresponds with the Visudda Chakra. Spiritus Murcurius, the Lord of the Word corresponds with the nature of Quicksilver.

Silver is the source of imagination and intuition. It is in this center that sensual phenomena is organized into great works of art, craftsmanship, and beauty. When the inner Silver is realized, one opens up the gate to intuition, mystery, and even psychic powers such as sorcery, astral projection, and second sight. Silver corresponds with the Ajna Chakra which is located on the brow or “third eye”. Silver teaches us to cultivate the imagination and intuition to its highest level through art, meditation, and active imagination. Silver relates to Luna-Hekate, The Lady of the Moon & Sorcery.

Gold represents the highest aspirations of the Spirit as well as Transcendence. Gold is the higher Self and all that is noble within the Self. Gold teaches us to cultivate ourselves ethically and morally, as well as become a temple of wisdom and truth. Gold corresponds with the Sahasrara Chakra which located on the crown of the head as well as Lucifer-Sol, the Lord of the Sun, Transcendence, and The Good.

It's nice.
I'm accustomed to saturn, jupiter, mars, gold, venus, mercury, silver...
but your arrangement has a workable logic to it as well.

Hi, interesting thank you, but for me, Ajna is solar, Soma chakra is lunar.
Sahasrara is nothing. Hrit Padma is terrian/related to antimony or bismuth.
I just speak of personnal experience, nothing related to books, just yoga practice.

Happy new year !

Sol, it's because you link gold to Hrit Padma, but it is more spiritual Gold here/Stone. On the material level, it is more linked to antimony/Bismuth (dogmatism of the sacred heart).

How do you balance the planetary forces in your daily life?

Yes, I saw that. That's why I say I see logic in both arrangments.
The heart can be seen to easily correspond with the sun in the solar system,
but also the pituitary could be the sun as it is really the master gland that forges the chemicals for the rest of the glands.

The 6th and 7th are often confused, some people claiming the 6 to be pituitary and the 7th to be pineal.
This is not my experience. The energy rises up the brain stem and meets the pineal/6 and then arcs through the corpus collosum
and down into the pituitary/7. Then the pituitary tells the other glands what to produce. This is known to science:

"The pituitary gland is sometimes called the "master" gland of the endocrine system, because it controls the functions of the other endocrine glands."

As the master gland, it is the lion/sol/gold.
IMO, you can see the pathway of energy quite clearly.
It makes no sense that the pituitary, hanging by itself, could be the 6th in a series of 7:
