Very nice... saw a kinship with the work of Austin Osmond Spare (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_Osman_Spare)...

Keep painting!

Why these are very nice! You have obviously quite a talent!

I like the play of different patterns and motifs upon each other. Do you much like the art nouveau period?

I must admit that Spare is new to me but i have become an instant fan. Thank you dev.

Yes my illustrative work is heavily influenced by art nouveau, which to me was the height of graphic design and very beautiful.

thank you for your praise it is the greatest gift given to an artist.

Hi Black Sclera

I have just stumbled over this thread...I dont know how I missed it before.

You must have been wondering how you didn't get a mention in:

Thread: The Art of A. Andrew Gonzalez

I can assure you had I seen your thread you would have; your work is amazing.

Are they done in charcoal?

In the 'about me' section of your profile you say:

I was most heavily introduced into alchemy (mostly spiritual alchemy)
by the lectures of the late psychedelic philosopher Terence Mckenna and
found much of the work coi.

What did you mean by coi?

Thank for sharing your art.

Thank you Ghislain im glad you like them, i really need to update!

No their made of thousands of dots done in pen and ink. I wish i had better scans, so much detail is lost to the camera blur.

hmmm as for the coi thing i think i was cut off. i believe i was saying "and found much of the work coincided with much of my own personal beliefs"

Black Sclera,

I am slowly building/creating a small non-for-profit art gallery that focuses on Art & Hermeticism (it's more than "focused", it's actually ONLY for Hermetic Art).
The real gallery exists in Argentina. I am also creating virtual galleries for artists I like. This is oriented for a Spanish-speaking audience.

If you are interested I would really love to create a virtual gallery of draings and paintings of yours.
Here's the deal:
-The copyright of the works remain with you.
-We can announce that the works are for sale or not depending on what you want.
-If you sell any work because of the galleies, then the commission is 0% (this is really non-for-profit and a non-commercial project)
-We don't need to have "exclusive works" (i.e, the same works can be shown in whatever way you want in any other place you want).
-We can include your contact information, a short bio of yourself written by yourself and links to any web pages of yours that you want in the virtual gallery).
-And if you like the idea, but in the future you do no longer like it, then I will remove the drawings/paintings you do no longer want shown or the whole gallery (again, the copyright remains with you).

I really love your work.

I am not sure if the draings remind me of Austin Spare (whom I love the most; I even filmed a short movie about him in 2004)... they do remind me a bit more of the Belgian symbolists (specially Jean Delville). Anyway, I really rally like them. That Prometheus is fantastic.

If you are interested, please send me a mail to zoas23@yahoo.com.ar
(I am afraid that if you reply here, I may not see the specific post).

Oh... the irtual galleries are stilll small, but growing.
Here's the plastic arts section (it will grow a lot quite soon):

Here's the film section & photo section:

Here's a part with literature and essays (everything is in Spanish):

Thank you. Fantastic works.

Hey Black Sclera,
I love your paintings they are very, If I may say, curiosity awakening :)
I know that telling to an artist to do something its not a good idea but as I specify your style
would want to see an Ouroboros.
If you ever feel like ever drawing one, I'd be happy to watch it :)
Thank you.
