I'm just starting in Alchemy, and I find it all very confusing. I'm trying to learn basic things like, "Whats a Transmutation Circle?", "How do you transmuite things and what to you transmute?" and other general questions. Sorry if I sound kind of ignorant, but I pretty much am. Please help me get started.

I'm just starting in Alchemy, and I find it all very confusing.

I won't miss the chance to quote my friend Salazius when he says:

"Keep it simple, because it is very complicated."

Also, quoth Sendivogius:

"Simplicity is the Seal of Truth."

There is indeed a great underlying simplicity behind the enormously complex picture which our 'normal'/'vulgar' eyes and minds paint for us...

But apparently, we must pass through the wilderness of complexity to see the gifts which had been there all the time in the first place...

I'm trying to learn basic things like, "Whats a Transmutation Circle?", "How do you transmute things and what to you transmute?" and other general questions.

Maybe it's a little too soon for such questions? Maybe an Initial Basic Hermetic Foundation of your World Vision would be more appropriate? Just my opinion...

Please help me get started.

You already got started :) You're here, aren't you?

(And Welcome to Alchemy Forums, by the way!)

All this being said, I would recommend some basic reading... You can find some very good suggestions in the Alchemical Texts Section (http://forum.alchemyforums.com/forumdisplay.php?15-Alchemical-Texts), and especially in THIS THREAD (http://forum.alchemyforums.com/showthread.php?2149-Value-of-texts) (IMO).

Have a great journey of discovery!
