I Have little to add to the title of this thread other than to ask
people to sit and ponder what it is they are really looking for.

Once you have decided what it is then try to imagine you now have it or have found it,
then ask yourself again what it is you want tomorrow... keep repeating
this process.

I like your question, it will be interesting how people reply to it.

Love that song!

I noticed the recurring theme of Darkness ("middle of the night", "can only be seen by the eyes of the blind").

The song is very Alchemical IMO, the 'River of Dreams' is like the See/Ocean/Spring of the Philosophers, the 'First Matter', the 'One Thing' ("something so hard to find")...

There is only ONE thing that interest me. Only ONE thing that inspire me. Only ONE thing I want to do/have everyday, so I already know about tomorrow. I am of course talking about freedom. In the mind, in the body, in society. I have noticed that the more free I perceive myself to be the easier life in enslaved society becomes. So you are right... With imagination the dream can manifest itself physically. It is not really a "secret" (like The Secret movement tries to imply), just common sense. Visualization always works.

I'm not really in love with this way of asking that question. It is a bit tricky.

It is very much like asking which one is the final cause, the telos... and I do have an answer that is similar to the one that probably everyone has (and it doesn't have a name... call it "One", "Good", "Freedom" or "That stuff"... As Dionysius the Areopagite used to say, we only give it a name as a way of commuicating with each other).

However... the process is the product. The final cause is like the roof of a house that needs foundations, walls, etc, etc... a roof floating in the air simply falls to the ground.

The fool has a single desire... and it is O.K. to be the fool sometimes, but none of us should live as a fool all the time.

The final cause is built by a network of desires and an ocean of actions... without them it is nothing, except a nice idea.

What I am truly seeking is Truth and I have it and I am part of it. It embraces us all, it is the great connection. Anything is possible and if I only had one true wish I would wish every conscious being in all of existance unconditional Love Kindess Strength Compassion Imagination Freedom and Truth always. If I had many true wishes, and I do, we all do, one of them would be the Philosophers Stone.

If we ever find the Philosophers Stone, perhaps even some of you have, then you know that you always had it and maybe you meditate and connect the two moments and find that they are one. You always had it.

It is a true pleasure to be in such great company. I have read many posts in this forum, but this is my first and I would like to say that much of what is said resonates within my soul and I am thankful for that. I feel that it is important for me that I join you in the Great Quest for Truth and I am looking forward to it.
