Here are some of over 100 attempts to recapture the recursive, almost fractal nature of a Petit Mal experience I had during 2008.

each fragment is like an organic growing point, a Meristem.

Straight lines appear at times, sometimes bubbles, each exploding into more bubbles. The worm like structure, unfolds and coils up, as best i can remember (2008), again it is as thought each detail is a 'Meristem'

Has any one else here had similar experience, either in meditation or on Entheogens?

Here are some pictures of the meristem, the primordial growing tip of plants. Kind of the equivalent of stem cells in Animals

Wow!! The first image you posted looks eerily similar to a photo I recently took of an experiment I had tried:

Yes I've seen similar designs through the use of entheogens. How long did your seizure last?

There is definitely a similarity between your picture and mine. I guess a bit of artistic license had a part to play in reconstructing the images. Crucially, movement, the most important element, is missing, i'd love to make some videos one day.

The 'episodes' followed me through adolescence, and stopped in my early twenties, they seemed to last for hours, but in reality lasted perhaps under a minute.

Pardon the silly question:
Are you the author of these images? Are they paintings or very photoshoped photos?

I really like them.

Hi Zoaz, yes, they were painted in oils originally, and then, "enhanced" and cleaned up in Photoshop.

Cheers,

Otove

Yes, it is very similar to what I have seen.

All the pictures in this thread are amazing.

This one especially reminds me of the backdrop of certain visions I have had.

How does one insert an image from the hard drive into the text? The only option that seems available is attaching a picture from a website.

Thanks,
Illen

Hi Illen,

All (or most) of the options are covered here: Posting Images & Videos (http://forum.alchemyforums.com/showthread.php?2933-Posting-Images-Videos).

If you don't want to host your image on a website, you can simply upload it here as an attachment. The technical details are covered in the link above.

Also, for the sake of not diverting from this symbolism related thread, the technical discussion is continued here: Posting Images & Videos (http://forum.alchemyforums.com/showthread.php?2933-Posting-Images-Videos)
