There's a lot to mention on this topic. I'll just start scratching and add as I find time.
One area to look into is the Rostau. You may notice the etymological reference to
the Rose Cross. A lot of this has to do with egyptian astrology, and egypt is where
al-khemi comes from. The Rostau is the center of the duat. The duat is represented
geologically by the Giza plateau and astrologically by the area of Orion and Sirius.
The Rostau is the 3 Giza pyramids and the belt of Orion.
In another direction, the Argo is greatly represented. You'll recall this from Fulcanelli.
The ship, the box, the pilot "fish" are all present. This constellation, though southerly
for most the world today, was very significant to the egyptians, and Canopus is the
second brightest star in the sky.
There's plenty of pointing to the north and the bears and the pole star.
And how about Alderbaran - the bull's eye...
