Namaste!

I wanted to learn practical astrology since a long time, and now I decided it is the time to do so. So now I try to get a better idea about what should I expect.

In looking for some good material to start with, I found the course book "The only way to learn Astrology" by Marion D. March. I did a look up on the author and she seems to be regarded as a very good teacher. I wonder if anyone has personal experience or knowledge about this book or the learning method, or some feedback on the author?

And if you know of any good resource you would suggest, please do so!

Also, I guess it is sufficient to start using software for chart casting once one is experienced in casting them by hand. Do you have any suggestion for a professional and trustworthy one? I see many recommend the one called Placidus.

Finally, since I also plan to become professional in hope of earning a bit of money with it, I wonder what do you think - primarily those who have practical experience in this - how much practice it usually takes before one should consider working as an astrologer? Months, or years? (Of course I know it isn't really something measurable, I just wonder about experiences.)

Thank you in advance!

I know that it'll be close to 100 years since this manuscript was placed in our way, but for me Crowley's The General Principles of Astrology remains essential. It's one of the few manuscripts that actually brings up "Cauda/Caput Draconis".

I also use Llewellyn's Moon Sign, it's updated each year, and it's a reliable companion to practical labwork.

This one should be a good start for Astrology to
