I recall something about Monroe being able to go to different levels of OBE by rotating. These may have
been orthogonal rotations - seems like it. Can anyone verify?

Anyway, I hope I've painted an interesting picture to contemplate.
Mainly, I've been seeing poles as complements more than opposites.
I see that these are two different intentions and realities... it's alchemy to transmute opposites into
compliments, simply by recognising/respecting their inter-dependence.
This is part of why I lean to Pan-ism instead of altruism.

complementarity:

In my experience, it is important to recognise that we condition/determine Spirit through our observation and intention.
When we see or think of things as opposites, we often intend a separateness and an opposition/war.
When we see the same opposites as complementary, we see and intend a union/yoga/cheumia(melting) and a dance.
It's basically the difference between enemies and friends/partners.

The separation intended by opposites leads to a fractured consciousness in the observer.
It makes people think that good is better than bad or light is better than dark or spirit better than matter, etc.
But in alchemy we want to spiritualise matter AND materialise spirit.
Thus the Emerald Tablet says: It is true, without a lie, certain and most true, that which is below is as that which is
above, and that which is above is as that which is below, to perform the miracles of the one thing.

Woe unto you (not a curse...just the reciprocity of your choices) who, in opposition, desire only the below to resemble the above. That is not alchemy.

In my experience, the idea is not to be only the Crown chakra, but to open all 7.
We want the middle pillar to be one consistent and homogenous substance for energy to flow
and the serpent to dance. The lower chakras (with corresponding consciousness) cannot be bad
in relation to the higher ones. It's the same with everything else. There's no ascension without incarnation.
Ascension takes the body with it in a dance of light. Body and spirit are not in opposition.

Mercury dissolves sulphur and sulphur fixes mercury. One is not better for alchemy than the other.
The stone the builders reject/oppose becomes the cornerstone of the work.
