Below are recent news articles about the production of Petrol form Air

I thought it would make for good discussion \o/

Petrol form Air

From another thread:

From the first time bio-genetic theory of petroleum was presented me at elementary school, I found it clueless.
To me it is mostly aimed at persuading us of limitedness of oil to keep its price big. it seems that some Russian scientists too had a different perspective.

I feel that the link in teofrast40's post is looking for other ways that petroleum could have been naturally produced other than via
the organic processes known.

The point of the recent discovery is that rather than releasing further earthly stored hydrocarbons they could be created from
materials already present in the atmosphere wherebye their use does not create additional pollution.

The proposition only works if renewable energies such as wind, wave and solar power are used to create and store this energy
in the petroleum produced, similar to the way a plant stores sugars as starch; a balance.
