Lucid. I love this word and its implications.
When we bring lucidity to our dreams, we become aware to some degree of our ability to mold reality through our intention. Perhaps we become aware that what we think of as consciousness or mind and what we call the world are really the same entity, or at least inextricably related. What we once thought or perceived as a separate "objective" world existing independantly begins to re-appear as an interconnected web of consciousness without borders: Universe = Youniverse. The subjective and the objective are two sides of one fabric. Amazing isn't it?
What we can do in our dreams is only slightly removed from what is possible on this Earth. The material realm is only more dense, more concentrated; It is a matter of intensity. If you can do this in your dreams, you are very close to realising your potential as living Philosophers' stones, capable of transmuting "lead" into "gold".
Don't give up on the world. "Here" is all there is. "Here" is not a place - it is consciousness, the Universal Holodeck if you will. One matter, one flask, one fire. (an alchemical maxim). You, Youniverse, are the matter, the flask and the fire. You are the light of the world. Or, if you prefer a christian perspective: "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men." - Matthew 5:13

The world isn't going to end. You are the world. What is ending in these times is our idea of separation. If the egoic mind is your world, then you could say its days are numbered.
I love you!
