Paracelsus (as well as the St. Germain 'clan' :)) are making a rather unusual appearance in the last three episodes of current TV series Warehouse 13 (Season 4, episodes 18, 19 & 20).

FYI.

Paracelsus . . . [is] making a rather unusual appearance. . .

Out of curiosity, which version of Paracelsus, the small, thin man or the husky well-pedicured one with hair?

Paracelsus in Warehouse 13, portrayed by Anthony Head:

Well, there you have it, something in-between I guess. A modern version that is to be sure.

How do they characterize him?

How do they characterize him?

You'll get a much better impression if you just watch the last three episodes yourself (Warehouse 13 / Season 4 /episodes 18, 19 & 20)

I'm sure you can find them online, as I did (no TV in my house...)

No substitute for seeing for yourself, but generally speaking, not a far stretch from the persona that comes across from his writings, just a bit more exaggerated and with a few extra twists :)

A bit of advertisement of this enigmatic figure doesn't hurt, I suppose. He must have been also a 'knucklehead' aside from being gifted?

Historian Goodrick-Clarke says the husky, full head of hair representation is a modern invention, that's why I originally asked.

That's great. Thanks.

I caught all these. Warehouse is fun but somewhat dumbed down, but Clues to the Quest are scattered willy nilly by the Guardians, and I love finding them salted into pop culture. There must be lots of in-group jokes in casting which I find like an esoteric echo, for here we have the Magister Giles from Buffy reincarnating as Paracelsus. I found the Buffy series actually one of the journeys that helped me grow the most, as it embraced diversity of beings, love affairs gay and straight, even across species, friends can be found even among those you first feared or found repulsive, and even ordinary people can rise to heights of valor, pro feminine. Alchemical subversion of mainstream stereotypes.
