View Full Version : Introduction Threads

Hi Everyone :)

I think it's super cool when new members post introductions of themselves.

It makes it easier for everyone else to know a bit about who has joined, and many introductions are actually a great pleasure to read.

I myself am 'guilty' of never actually posting an Introduction, but I promise I'll post an Extroduction when the time comes .

However, this is not the main point I wish to make...

It often happens that Introduction threads start going deeper into specifics, such as philosophy, lab work, etc... This is basically not the purpose of the Introductions, so I am suggesting that when the introduction topic starts getting too specific, please continue (or start) a thread in a more relevant/on-topic section of the forums. It makes it SO much easier for other members/readers to search/locate topics that interest them. For forum orientation, please see What Is Where (http://forum.alchemyforums.com/showthread.php?385-What-is-where).

Thanks, welcome and happy posting/reading/sharing!

How dare you?

How dare you?

I think I was too busy getting into 'fights' with people who are now my friends LOL :)

(Yeah, there might be a sort of 'lesson' here...)

But hey, I DID promise to post an Extroduction whenever the time comes :o

To summarize: Don't repeat Daddy's mistakes

I knew I felt a ripple in the force! An extroduction at some point, really? omg noooooooooo, at least tell me that's a good ways off!

Don't leave us daddy! :(

Just a figure of speech. Ain't nobody's daddy :)

Besides, everything that has a beginning also has an end.

Only the beginning-less is endless...

The point of this thread was originally intended to be logistical (see FIRST POST (http://forum.alchemyforums.com/showthread.php?3858-Introduction-Threads&p=32804#post32804))

But OK, double 'mea culpa' for not introducing myself when I joined and again for bringing it up here...
So I guess I'll have to do my best and post an Introduction before (or after) any possible Extroduction :)

An update: Posts made in the Introductions - (new members go here) (http://forum.alchemyforums.com/forumdisplay.php?3-Introductions-(new-members-go-here)) section of the forums do not add to your overall post count anymore!
