I have done this simple extraction of the sea salt, wanted to just see how the process goes and its actually amazing how much salt was extracted from such an small amount of sea water.
First I tried it on a copper cup and the salt turned a bit light greenish, than a friend told me that copper could oxidize the salt and that I should use some other material.

So I had found this home equipment that looked appropriate for the evaporation of the sea water.
Here is the equipment.

Here is the result. :D

Good idea using the oil heater as an evaporation dish! I think it would be interesting to re-dissolve the salt with distilled water and evaporate again many times. According to Charles Littlefield this will cause your salts to accumulate the vital force.
The same individual supposedly made salts which brought the dead back to life...

Hey Dendritic,
Thats really interesting and alchemical, thanks for sharing that link.

No problem! I think Littlefield was a crackpot in some ways, but much of his work is extremely relevant to the alchemical community. Definitely underrated.

Also, according to some alchemical text there is a way to make The Stone by repeated dissolution and crystallization of sea salt. Supposedly after 100 or so cycles the salt gains a different texture and actually melts like wax over a candle flame. But it has been argued that this was referring to something other than common sea salt. Still, I have a feeling the process could be performed on numerous different chemical salts like littlefield did.

I actually thought of treating it the same way as the herbs salt, with all the same processes like purification, circulation, and retort distillation. Unfortunately I am missing plenty of equipment's so hopefully in the future will try out something and of course share with you guys right away. :D

The thing about sea salt is that you don't have to calcine it in order to purify it, its already purified and yet invincible. Sea salt it is actually universal because you can mix it with any herb salt and rise its potency for the making of your tinctures.
