Hi One / All,

As suggested a little introduction regarding some aspects of my current practice.

I work with Sound & Mysticism through the mediums of music and cymatics (the study of vibration) coupled with an ongoing mystical quest following esoteric and alchemical traditions. The all encompassing vibratory phenoma is well known to the Mystery schools from Hermeticism, Vedic, ancient Greek through to new thought and new age thinking. My art, work and journey differ from the ‘traditional’ Alchemical processes derived from metal working and medicine, however they bare the same universal and Alchemical quest to discover and harness forces both visible and hidden and through symbolism I find very strong ties in both the approach and materials used. This is part of the draw to this forum. Alchemy for me is the acquainting, understanding and harnessing of matter and also an esoteric quest of acquainting, understanding and harnessing the Mind (through Thought Vibration, Creative Visualisation, Active Imagination…) and the Transmutation from a negative state of Mind to a positive One. It is also an ongoing and perhaps Eternal Spiritual quest…

I have not chosen this path but I seem to inevitably follow it... flowing with the signs and falling into place like salt on a plate...

You can present your art in the ART (http://forum.alchemyforums.com/forumdisplay.php?20-Art) section if you like. Most here in the forums are pretty creative as you can see in that particular section.

Welcome to the forums, stmoniker :)

Are you familiar with the book, The Mysticism of Sound and Music by Hazrat Inayat Khan?

One of my favorites!

Welcome to Alchemy Forums!

Your approach and Work seem to be rooted in a solid foundation of Hermetic Principles and I am very much looking forward to your sharing and participation.
