Hi, Hey, and Hello everyone :)

I just wanted to take a moment to express my thanks to Alchemy Forums, it's creators, moderators, and members for providing us all with a place to learn, grow, build, and socialize together. I feel I have grown quite a bit since joining A.F., and I apologize for my lack of contribution over the last several months. So again thank you to ALL of you!!!

Thank you.

Some thought came to mind because of your post...

The Internet and smartphones and tablets gets a lot of shit... that they make us connect online only. That groups of friends meet but hang on their phones instead. And yes this is true... but like anything it is a tool and I have been on the forum on my smartphone going to work many times... like Facebook... the timeline you see are based on what friends you keep...

Anyway my point is that even though it might appear that the Internet/smart phones creates social isolation BUT it also brings together people that NEVER could have come together 20 years ago. NEVER.

What will evolve from this fact the future only knows.

I remember where I was when the registration of this forum happened. I am not the same person then as I am now.

Older yes, and age changes you... but I have achieved the greatest changes through my alchemical quest. And who knew that that night long ago could result in people meeting, living together, conversing outside the forum, traveling with etc.

The amount of friends I've achieved through the forum that I still am in contact with are many... the amount of friends I have made that I still am friends with in my real life way less.

So while the Internet might create social isolation for me it has created social expansion.

This is my office...

...no it's not...

I'm sure we all feel the same: "thank you!".
Dev describes it very nice, friendships that have been developed here could never be possible without this medium. They seem to last much longer as they are based on common interests.
