Hi,

I live in Berlin.

Do you have a EU passport? Which one, if I may ask?

Actually, I think Germany is one of the easiest countries to relocate to in the EU (IF you have a EU passport!).

You just register your arrival with the citizen authorities (Bürgeramt) at the location of your initial address (best within weeks of arrival), and you get a paper (Anmeldebescheinigung) that makes you legally a resident in Germany, effective immediately. You only need an address, and it can be a temporary one which you can always change later by re-reporting to the Bürgeramt. When you find/rent a more "permanent" place/address, you go again to the Bürgeramt at the new location and report the new address, and you get a new paper. You will need this Anmeldebescheinigung as proof of residence to open a bank account. It's nice if you have some money set aside, as finding a place to rent can be sometimes challenging in the bigger cities. The landlords will usually ask for the last three payslips, but some landlords may also be happy with a fat number in your bank account :)

At some point (the earlier the better), you will also have to register with the German health insurance, which is either the public "legal" one (there is a choice of providers, such as TK) or quite a few private providers, which I personally don't recommend. But it's technically illegal not to have German health insurance as a resident, although no one will come knocking at your door to check.

If you don't speak German at all, make sure you find a friend who does, to accompany you to all official appointments and when signing a rent contract (Mietvertrag), because some rent contracts can have some hidden "catches" in them...

What kind place do you have in mind for relocation? What are you looking for in your next place of residence? City? Village? More traditional? More cosmopolitan? And why would you want to move to Germany, if I may ask?

Forgot to mention, when you first register with the authorities (Bürgeramt) you also get a personal identification number (Persönliche Identifikationsnummer), which is like a German ID number for social, tax and whatever other purposes. Save this number!

I've helped a few people in the past with this process, and I myself have been living in different countries in my life, so I got to become somewhat acquainted with the various bureaucracies in the countries I lived in

This may be a good multilingual resource:

I was watching Trench 11, and the german soldier guy said that german food sucks, but the guy was also a bad guy in the movie so lets not take his word for it.

best place to live is downtown; cause of the girls; but ive never been to germany, and i don't know what german girls look like so, best of luck

What country are you in now?

As for best place depends on what you mean. Excellent nature or a vibrant city?

I lived in Frankfurt for a few months. It was alright. Visited Berlin a few times and been all over Germany, but Andro would know better in terms of details.

My advice would be to move to an area that is good train distance to Holland, Denmark and France, that way you have Plan B options.

The state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania is very cheap at the moment (I heard about hillariously low prices for land and property) and has an interesting landscape. It has some of the most famous tourist spots. The population density is decreasing there (that's why it is so cheap), so it can be "culturally challenging".;)

UK passport

What kind place do you have in mind for relocation?
No idea. I'm practically a ghost. No drivers license, not registered at any GP, not on the electoral register,
No fixed address, no social media presence, no CV, and one old bank account.
I would just live in a cave but you can't really do that in the UK and survive.

And why would you want to move to Germany, if I may ask?
Don't know, trying to start a life somewhere, seemed quite nice.

What country are you in now?
The UK, a country obsessed with baking things.

I want to start a new life, and in the UK its getting hard to do that.
I would love to live off grid like your shamans. Not so easy as one might think.

My ideal would be a cave near a mountain with fresh water springs, not to cold climate so i could work the land.
No taxman knows i exist, no one can push me out of my cave because i didn't hand them enough stacks of paper.
I'll pick fruit, eat bark and nettles if i have to. Free and living everyday, not just at the weekends.

Not sure if the EU or specifically Germany is ideal for living off-grid in a cave like you wish... Maybe check out the area that Florius mentioned? But is gets cold, and not THAT much fruit to pick off the trees...

Why not Mexico/Peru/Ecuador/Colombia/Costa Rica? Why not India or Sri-Lanka? Or any "2nd World" country? Tropical/Equatorial? I heard that hermit cave living is quite culturally acceptable in India.

BTW, in Germany they also like to bake things :)

If you do not mind winter north of Sweden is cheap as fuck. And safe unlike Latin America + no need to learn language. The older I get the more I love nature in the winter time. Off the grid generally easier in corrupt regions i.e. East Europe, Latin America and Africa.

Note: all countries are corrupt, but some in different ways.

Just a start really. A change of scene. I thought it was relatively easier to work and live in Germany.
I'd like to visit you, maybe find a path there. I write music, is that easier to earn from it over there?.

Yer you would think. I did.
Its very difficult without guidance you can very easily die.
If you don't know locals have no contacts can't speak Tamil, which is a son of a bitch to learn.
It's very hard.
Finding an authentic hermit who will teach you is difficult.
I really tried, spent thousands.

I had success finding and learning spiritual practices but no viable way of surviving as a hermit there.
It felt like a strange contraction to me, i was quite angry that it logistical was so hard to pull off.

I don't know how out of dates all the drivers are, I've got email and can send photos but i'm afraid skye will kill my only computer.

Awani

If you buy out in nowhere you can get a football field size for 5000 Euro = which is cheap in my book.

Cost of living is not cheap in Sweden, but I figured you wanted to DIY and go off grid and in that case it would be cheap. I mean there is fish and there are blueberries everywhere, and nettles. Also plenty of Amanitas. What else do you need apart from a source of energy?

Although with Brexit not sure you can live in Sweden that easily anymore.

A good friend lives in Berlin. He is a musician and somehow well-known in a specific underground scene (though not so underground as to be a type of music that has only 1,000 listesteners worldwide) + He is on tour quite often.
He can't live from his music, even if he has a moderate success... BUT he discovered a job he likes:
He simply knows the music shops of Berlin and purchases Vinyls of "cult-bands" which are sold cheap and sells them through Ebay. According to him, Berlin is a good place to do such thing (though you have to be a melomaniac who knows about music and who is familiar with the cost of the vinyl albums, which editions are rare, etc).
... But if you are a musician, then that is something that you can do and it seems that Berlin is a good place to do it.

This is true from my experience also, HOWEVER considering he currently lives in the UK I must say, from having lived there for over 2 years, that UK girls are not that hot either... quite terrible actually... so he is not going to "trade" down, because ALSO from my experience the German girls have other qualities that are far superior to UK girls... like a brain. LOL.

Speaking in general terms of course, but let's be fair; countries that are English speaking tend to have a lower intelligence when it concerns "culture", the "world" and "perspectives" because they are "lost" in the dominance of "english"... they don't have a natural "alternative" perspective to life, which most other non-native English speaking people have that ALSO have a connection with English culture through media and the dominance of the english language. Meaning that Germans know English and German culture. Italians know Italian and English culture. But English know only English culture. Again generally speaking (usually doesn't apply to the well-travelled or those that have lived abroad).

Although the UK is not as bad in these aspects as the USA, they still fall under the same "self-centered" umbrella i.e. an ugly German is a better partner compared to an ugly English person in this respect. In my opinion. And for transparancy I have partnered with a person that is partially not part of "my own" culture, meaning I have a wider perspective.

That is why patriotism and racism is cultural cannibalism, and we all know what happens when cannibals have babies: they get retards

If anything, I think he said something about being more of a hermit.

Are there actually people who relocate just for this reason? If yes, well, you learn something new every day :)

Thanks for everyones help, but trying now to move to the zhongnan mountains.
Could you just get lost in those mountains ? no visa etc.
You can visit for 6 days without a visa.
Will it kick up a fuss ?, a tourist visa only last so long.
Will the government really care if some westerner wants to live in the mountains as a hermit ?

Andro

You can also be a hermit in the UK. And there are mountains in Europe too, if mountains are what you want.

Perhaps start with understanding the true reason you wish to move, as well as the desired attributes of your target destination?

My unsolicited advice is: Don't move FROM, move TO... once you know the WHY :)

Good Luck!

If you want a place to move and live in a 'yurt like structure',

I would happily accommodate any decent person to "rent" ($ free) 1 acre of land to anyone who didn't give me any hassles.

Quite seriously. Aussie Aussie Aussie

I wouldnt call them "mountains" so much as "hills at a high altitude".

Are you wondering if the CHINESE government cares if someone lives there illegally AND not paying taxes? Don’t forget that Americans and British people don’t get much love in most of the world... that’s what happens to the citizens of Empires. I would pick a more UK friendly place.

You’d be a Muslim in Alabama, to give an allegory. Chinese cops would cherish the moment they catch you, and don’t pretend poor Chinese farmers ain’t going to rat you out for a few bucks.

Always break laws in your own culture, the advantages are far superior.

Hello Kibric, here you can restart your life working the land and living on a hill near some town where you can get provisions.
I have a ranch and I can visit it every week, I do like living in the city, but I can suggest to you several places where you can work peacefully in alchemy. Here sunlight is ideal for alchemy.
I think you do not need a visa and also you can live here without a bank account.

hi dear friend
i don't recommend italy here a new lockdwon and obligatory vaccines coming soon
(nb me and friends we leave very soon from this country become a real rubish suck because we will never do and accept blacklists and obligatory vaccinations )
why the Italy unfortunately has become disgusting has an authoritarian and undemocratic government, shitty thread, Chinese dictatorship and here in ribish italy the state of emergency will be extended for 6 months until 31 December
and against this authoritarian renewal of the state of emergency
in all Italy we are organizing very harsh protests outside the opposition which is totally cowardly and sold and weak

therefore i do not recommend to anyone the italy

i will go from here as soon as possible
i just return to sell home and my activities
of rentals

so after i leave italy as soon as possible

- of the revenues i have already transferred to a foreign bank -

then in the new country when i will be environed, i will re-open a quache activity

to transfer me well any place in the world is enough free and no lockdown

any place well in the world
i would prefer a country that has the sea

and i will take them a large independent house by the sea and with a lot of green around

but that it is a place that is free
and control is minimum a free country where there is freedom and where there was no lockdown and be safe no new lockdown

ideas? proposals?

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

salve caro amico sconsiglio totamente italia

dunque sconsiglio a tutti l'italia

idee ? proposte ?

Nah....maybe southern hemisphere....need a country with zero socialism, less democracy and more of a territorial replublic...Ive come to the conclusion that is all a function of population density. Masses want to be led, controlled and told what to think and do, so less mass!.

I like when Marty McFly went bacl to the future in part 3. The old west, so Im leaning towards territorial Australia!!

Bulgaria is good choice for white people. In the EU, very stable banking system and easy to open an account, excellent customer service. Low taxes, flat/fixed 10%. It has mountainous terrain and world class beaches and resort infrastructure. The food is organic. It is cheap and the people are friendly, highly educated and cultured. The medical system is good.

There are options for high budget and low budget living. My choice is a country house with 1-2 acres. It is enough for off grid living and away from the crowds. You can buy it for about $35,000.
No IRS to deal with, no insane real estate taxes like in the USA. A high budget option would be a country house and an apartment in a city like Varna or Burgas, a servant to cook and clean for you, and if you are into the ladies you can fly in the hottest slavic ladies from Ukraine (that's what I do).

The corona virus situation will only get worse worldwide, it is essential that you go off grid or away from the big cities ASAP. There's talks now for WWIII with many conflicts starting up worldwide. Bunkering down now is a MUST.

Bulgaria for the Alchemists:
Chemicals, glassware, and lab equipment are cheap and you can buy them easily, almost anything you need. The countryside and the low bills/costs will give you the peace, serenity, and relaxation you need. I have 2 x 150MT inductive smelters in Veliko Tyrnovo, Bulgaria. They are in a factory that has a direct connection to the railroad infrastructure. Throw in a few tons of lead and a few grains of stone and you have pure gold. You can't sell tons of gold at the pawn shop, they will ask you questions. And even if you manage to sell a meager 1kg of gold you can't deposit the cash into a bank to make big purchases like a house or a car without raising red flags. The same goes for drug income. I have a few companies that I use, I give them the cash, they give me a wire transfer and an invoice for consulting services provided - 10% for the service and -10% for the taxes. You can use this money for big purchases like houses, cars, boats, jets, etc without raising any eyebrows. So far I can do up to $25million/year. If any of you need help with this, I can be of service.

If you are not white, I recommend West Africa. I actually lived there for a year a decade ago when I was into gold and diamond mining. It's the perfect place for non-whites, it's beautiful and cheap. In a SHTF scenario as in a global pandemic or WWIII, you'll be safe there. Ghana is a good choice. I would move there myself, but being white, it attracts too much unwanted attention to you.

Australia is a terrible choice, might as well stay in the USA. Australia is a true police state, far above and beyond what the USA is doing.

Australia is the best country in the world.
You say "police state".....I say "law and order, peace, and free from violent crime state".

The gap between rich and poor is minimal.
Excellent social security system, even the poorest people have access to cars, internet, electricity, running water and sanitation.
Abundant in land and natural resources.
Gorgeous natural environment, beautiful beaches etc.
First class medical care and facilities.
Medium - Low population.
Fantastic climate.
And since you mentioned it....we also have plenty of hot men and women.

Alchemists can easily wash their gold by buying an existing operational gold mine.
$2 million AUD should be enough for a decent one.
And then salt the natural product with your artificial gold.
Declare the income, pay the tax, and you're done.

Trade relationship with China is very open, so it's easy to buy glassware and equipment
and have it shipped over. Even with freight charges the final price is very reasonable.

In some ways we're still a work in progress.
Eg....a we have a bit of corruption (but which country doesn't have that problem?).
No bill of rights either. But eventually those things will change for the better.

need a country with zero socialism, less democracy and more of a territorial republic...

North Americans understanding of socialism, at least modern socialism, is atrocious and funny. If I had to pick between socialism and any system set up in North America the choice is easy. Sure there are down sides to everything, but at least free education and health care is very important. Anyone that disagrees with this is either rich or does not have a family. I don't think any health care or university is as good as it could be... but I rather at least have the opportunity to get a degree on paper (a needed scam for certain jobs/salary) for free or mend a broken leg for free than end up in debt.

If you are North American then Australia is more of the same, you might fit right in.

The corona virus situation will only get worse worldwide...

It might get worse world wide in terms of policy but not in terms of disease. Thankfully I am in Sweden where you hardly notice Covid19 exists.

Oh lets see how many people do you know that graduated with a perfect, I mean a perfect score in government class? I did! Do you understand how hard that is? Every single assignment, exam, quiz, semester and finals?A perfect score, of 100, no extra credit, no make ups. My government teacher? A retired Colonel who spent 25 years in the Pentagon l I have a perfect understanding of government and what socialism is! And also of human nature as I have been a student of it all of my life! Humans are lazy, and at least the better part of society that does not succumb to human animalistic desires and base nature but that believe in the value of hard work and to earn what he can call his, not handouts and flattening a curve between lazy drug atticts and criminals and the part about our nature that brings us ultimately to destruction. Hence the framework of the 7 deadly sins becaue they lead both man and society to death This world has been destroyed by God several times But not really by him but by what he sets in opposition to chaos, our destructive nature, it always comes in cycles and degrees of progression just like the circles of hell. It is simply an exposition of a wise persons knowledge of the reality of decay and erosion of values and morals and how our nature drives us there. It is ulitimately SIN, the penalty for Sin is death. Physical death and death of all good things that a Loving and Living God want for you, it is the enemy of man that drives him there and seeks his ultimate destruction. Where really can we run to? But socially and anthro-pologically we can follow this progression towards final doom. Just as John saw in his dream! Look at this thread...ideas are being shared here and people know the only truely free place left is a cave? The woods? But where? It is a function of population density, the erosion invades the very human heart, and even the freedom there, now threatened!

Ok, I see you learned about socialism in school, not from living in a socialist society. Well that is not real knowledge, you only echo what some indoctrinated individual believes. Also I doubt a retired colonel would be unbiased concerning discussing socialism. Give me a break. I'm surprised they even let such assholes teach kids (yes I view career military men as assholes). I don't think Americans know what socialism in practice is like, they only think they do. Socialism is not communism. Most socialism in Europe is not even classical socialism, but a sort of socialism and free market capitalism mixture.

Also I have studied in the USA and I can tell you that on a weekly basis I had to correct the teachers on faulty information they were teaching the students... some shit so basic that I was abhorred they did not know the "correct" information. My respect for teachers in America is thus 0 %. Also considering how they describe events outside America on Fox and CNN is almost a joke, and no wonder most Americans are ignorant of what goes on in the world if those networks is the only source they go by (and trust me, most do).

I will never say socialism is the answer to all problems, far from it. However when compared to the American system I would choose it any day of the week. America is a broken country with a failed system that on surface is supposed to inspire the American Dream... but in reality is nothing but one big fat lie.

Take my reward from my hard work from me, cause the rest of the class didnt study and considered it a lame class? No wonder we are in the mess we are in. What is important a social practice? Gimmie a break!
The practice must come from a framework, however ideal, and human nature always prevents the ideal by practice!

Making any ideal put to practise inherently flawed, what then is the answer? It so happens that when Moses went up the mountain, the second time after smashing the first set he had all of these discussions with God.

The sum if the wisdom of The Law and system of government now collected in a book called The Holy Bible, I myself have just recently began to understand it true wisdom, and I'll leave that for another discussion.

I never said I learned what socialism was by practice!

I know. That was my point.

...not by a fucking sliding even the curve communist scale...

I see... I guess North American is truly fascist then or "the right wing curve" does not apply to the US?

Frankly if you confuses contemporary socialism with Stalinesque communism you might as well call vodka water.

Slight change of tack, just wanting to address something the OP said earlier in the thread....

Andro asked:
Why not India or Sri-Lanka? Or any "2nd World" country? Tropical/Equatorial? I heard that hermit cave living is quite culturally acceptable in India.

Kibric responded:
Yer you would think. I did.
Its very difficult without guidance you can very easily die.
If you don't know locals have no contacts can't speak Tamil, which is a son of a bitch to learn.
It's very hard.
Finding an authentic hermit who will teach you is difficult.
I really tried, spent thousands.

I had success finding and learning spiritual practices but no viable way of surviving as a hermit there.
It felt like a strange contraction to me, i was quite angry that it logistical was so hard to pull off.

Kibric, you really should share more of this experience.
I already said that I live in the best country in the world, I love where I'm at and have no intention of going anywhere.

But if I ever decide to walk a path to lead back to "him", then I'd also be looking at living in Sri Lanka.
You obviously already know that it's an alchemy stronghold in the world. You obviously already tried very hard to find a master in a cave and couldnt succeed, But...what about the buddist temples? Why didn't you become a monk in one of those? I understand there's 6000 of them. I'm sure if you conduct yourself to show your inner prudence and wisdom, you could gain the confidence of a suitably qualified master to teach you.

But whatever the case, please share more of your Sri Lanka story for those like myself, to pass on your experience and prevent us making the same mistakes in the future.

Awani:
If you are white, sure.
You're talking ancient history man.
The secret's out now about how good it is here.
In the last decade or so, we been experiencing mass immigration from countries like China and India.
They love it here too.

Actually it was my point...it was a class!
Definitions are important, not flawed practises

Also did you take history? Socialism in practice is communism...see human nature....My history teacher, a rather portly german woman, very scary used to say...Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely!! See also used to chastise me for ruining the curve for others. As Id usually get perfect scores in her class as well.

Hard work is or should I say always was its own reward. The minute it ceases to be, is the minute that signals everything is nearing ceasing to be.

I've never left Australia, and I probably never will. It's scary overseas compared to here. To get in some kind of violent trouble, you pretty much have to be asking for it, or be very unfortunate. Murder and violent crimes do happen here, but nowhere near as much as the rest of the world. Admittingly, we don't have anywhere near as much population as most places aswell.

However, things arnt going to get better in Australia, they are going to get worse. The big world players own our country now and are just sucking us dry as fast as they can and the Aussies are in a daze, and it's happening so fast that no one has the fuzziest idea of what to do about it. We have clear and obvious corruption up top that's selling out our economy hard and fast for the last (At least) 20 years. I've seen areas bigger than some countries, covered in pine forest, get sold to the USA, minced into wood-chips and shipped over to China. Australia getting a very small percentage of what the trade is worth. And this type of business goes on everyday, all over Australia. We are getting rapped, like a young girl who's just walked into a bikie clubhouse, such is young virgin Australia when she trys to play with the big boys

To boil it down monasteries are just another way of living. Getting accepted a lot of the time you need cash. Some have rules like only under 25.
Most you need 20+ years learning the very basic practices before your taught anything to do with 5 elements, or any siddhi.
There are some masters in monasteries but actually having a face to face with them without all the other monks around them making themselves busy, not easy.
Many masters don't want full cups, they want empty cups. My friend Awi who was a soldier at 15 was picked to train because he was young and malleable.
Monasteries can/do adopt this mentality wanting young people over old.
If you have wisdom many of the monks you see are aren't any different from people living outside the monasteries.
There's hierarchy, characters, stories. Its not magical most of the time. You see its not that different from your life now.

If you want the roots of the knowledge, not some adjusted lifestyle you have to dive deep for it.

In lanka Ananda was stripped of his robes by other monks and wouldn't live in a monastery.
" The air my food, earth my bed, fire my blanket, rain my shower. " - Ananda
Essentially wherever you go real masters are not on the map, you find them if your lucky rural barefoot barely dressed and sometimes misunderstood by the very culture they are from.
example. In tamil valdur a village centred around siddhas a decade ago, a crazy half naked man was laughing constantly at everyone who passed by.
The man wasn't crazy he was in jeevasamadhi but had not found a teacher. A homeless man. He eventually was recognised by a devotee of murugan
who was less advanced than him. I don't know if the man found a real master to help him understand.

Its difficult to find a sadhu who teaches you how to live without bread and water.
Without hot or cold. Live like a hermit in nature.
It takes time and money you might not have. They are never advertised and most want to be left alone.
I recommend you start in tamil nadu, with money. Visit temples, talk to people. Difficult.
Usually masters are buried alive under temples.

Edit - There is Elijah aka nature boy in the US. A homeless travelling sadhu i met through a friend.
I haven't spoken to him in years. Sometimes he is around an internet connection.

I returned to uk for family helping my father and run out of cash to go back. Saving though.

Alternatively, you can save yourself the travels and hassles, and do some real LSD or even better, 2C-B. They will teach you everything you need to know.
The first time I did LSD, I immediately knew it was possible to turn base metals into Gold.
I also realized it was possible to turn the body into Light and even the planet into Light or a Sun if you could call it that.

Come to Mexico!!

Thanks.
I'm considering this. I have duties 1st but gotta move soon somewhere with what funds i've got.
Work on your ranch ?. cool.

Wherever you happen to live keep a low profile and become a Master.

Better than wasting your life looking for one.

Thanks Kibric for sharing your experience.
It seems difficult to find what we're looking for in a monastary.
What if you try to be a hermit in the remote areas....can you easily find a spring to get water for yourself? Maybe live in a cave and drink spring water + Nettle Tea is the answer.

I have to take your word for it. I couldn't say for sure since I have never been there myself so I would be talking out my ass. But what indigenous people in Australia has told me is that it is not as good as "whitey" likes to pretend. Also on the surface it seems a bit like USA 2.0 in terms of culture and policy, which I personally can do without.

Also did you take history?

I live in the most privileged and wealthiest part of the world. It is a socialist system wrapped in a free market capitalism blanket. It has its bad sides, but overall when compared to 99% of the planet it is the highest quality of life you could imagine, highest level of safety and individual freedom and the highest level of opportunity. But yes there are issues that annoy me... but it would be luxury problems when you consider the reality most people find themselves in.

It's scary overseas compared to here.

You only feel this because you haven't travelled much. If you had you'd know it's the same everywhere with few exceptions.

Yes, right now it is time to plant because it is the rainy season, I mainly plant corn for forage (cow food) since in winter it is necessary to feed the cattle, I also plant a few hectares to share with the family and the community. If you do not like having cattle, you can plant anything, I also have a fruit tree orchard.
You really don't need a lot of money to live here, least of all living from your land.
The richest is not the one who has the most but the one who needs the least, the one who knows himself as an atom of consciousness.

I haven't seen any face shields yet locally. We have a mask mandate, but tons of people are still ignoring it...including employees (except food places, they're good about it). Recently I've heard private radio advertisements from alleged doctors/nurses trying to quell people's fears and counter the Fauci narrative. But this is in southern Appalachia, so there is a strong rebel attitude. Probably more from stubbornness than from intelligence...but I'll take it.
