In all the conspiracy theories a lot of orders figure, like Freemasons and the Illuminati for instance, but the word alchemy almost never ever figure. It is strange that something that is a big part of all these esoteric orders never get dragged into their negative conspiratorial aspects.

Just a thought...

Ho, maybe Nazis were seeking for the long life elixir for the Fhrer, and the Powder of Projection in order to get enough money to conquer the World.
Also in order to make some super soldier.
They dragged all Freemasons, Martinists, R+C etc etc obediences, this is how Franz Bardon, chief of a R+C order were put into detention camp.

The Nine Unknown Men, a society founded by the Indian Emperor Asoka. Each kept and expanded upon a book on a subject considered far too dangerous for civilization. Each man is responsible for gathering such knowledge and keeping it hidden. One of those men keeps and expands on a book concerning alchemy. It would be this man who is the greatest alchemist who had ever lived. He would be a master of the art, immortal, and be in possession of a book that contained all the secrets of the art. And why do you never hear of alchemy in conspiracy theories? Hmmmm....

Kind of like the Unknown Superiors?

Yes, in fact it is possible the idea of the secret chiefs came from this legend.

GOBLINS HIDE BEHIND 9/11

Lets get serious now. I think that the thread-starter covered me. Conspiracy theories are not based in facts and I cannot believe in something without facts.

"Conspiracy theory" is a blanket term used to cover many different observations. Some are very true. Some are foolish and false. The scary thing is that all one has to do is call something a "conspiracy theory" to have it dismissed offhand. Scarily convenient.

I think Alchemy is bypassed for conspiracy and Hollywood writers in part because most popular Alchemical txts and literature are impregnated
to the suffocation in religious jargon. One have the false impression that Alchemists where religious fanatics!
I assume this was a very effective cover to avoid dangerous attention on the part of kings and church officials.
This camouflage was so good, that it is still working. The Alchemist stereotype (spiritual people, almost eremite, pious, erudite ...and off course; inoffensive).

We should create an Alchemical conspiracy theory. If we can agitate the waters enough, other conspiracy nuts will follow, and soon one of these Hollywood pirates (or scy-fi writers) will come up with their own action script, and voila.
Warner Bros & Sony Pictures Presents... (sinister music): "The Exorcist" -sorry- "The Alchemist" (in halloween type red letters).
All we have to do is destroy the stereotype. It took lots of time & effort for past Alchemists to build it, but it can be destroyed in record time.
Besides; nobody can be sure if certain Alchemists are not behind the creation of some of the most terrifying aspects of military technology and ugly things alike.
We have a hint of a connection between atomic scientist and Alchemists by Jackes Bergier (The Return of the Jedis); M. Helbronner-Fulcanelly?.

Question; why we think that the Great Opus can't be achieved by non spiritually evolved (good) people? Because its sounds nice, and; classical Alchemists say so! But at same time they admittedly are a bunch of liars and specialists in subterfuge and delusion!

Consequences:

1- "Serious" Alchemists will hate us, but they will hate specially the script's author (for cashing in Alchemy -another form to make gold from Alchemy!-).
2- Some of the "serious" Alchemists (the haters) will feel in Nirvana, being transmuted (by reporters) in 15 minutes/celebrities (interviews with real Alchemists, talking about the film). Some programs in History channel, Discovery, etc.
3- Lab suppliers will fest (retorts & alembics record sales).
4- Most important: A lot of young people will pest Alchemical library's section, and Alchemy web sites (they will be a pain in the flask) but on time many of them will become true Alchemists. And; with one only successful transmutation history on papers and TV, it will be impossible for the system to maintain status cuo. The new era can begin.
It is possible?

Remember Mao: "just a spark can be enough to ignite the full prairie"

Best wishes

They have made a film about Hypatia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypatia). She has been argued to be an alchemist... so Hollywood has started to tap into it.

The Alchemist stereotype (spiritual people, almost eremite, pious, erudite ...and off course; inoffensive).

Alchemists are not inoffensive, they are dangerous, dangerous to the norm... i.e. my notion that anarchy and alchemy should be joined. ;)

We should create an Alchemical conspiracy theory.

Yeah... go for it!

You know I was researching her not to long ago, I know she was a philosopher and she was brutally murdered at the hands of religious fanatics. When I was researching her I was follwing a lead about cyanide, I had a source that told me she poisoned herself with it, but that turned out to be false, as I later learned.

Thank you Mr. Deviadah;
I did not expect a welcome to the idea of creating a conspiracy. I expected criticism, but, nicely surprised!
Maybe you and I can put together history "facts" (at least officially), & some drama to create the prima materia for a conspiracy first, an then the usual script.
Nothing special, just Hollywood regular stuff. Take a look:

http://forum.alchemyforums.com/picture.php?albumid=32&pictureid=137

The history could begin as usual:

Our history begins in Paris (last year of World War II).

An American agent walks by a dark alley near the Champs Elisee.
Approaching the corner he finds a mysterious individual:

- Are you Fulcanelli?-

The man watches him with coldness.

- If you look for the final transmutation, then I am Fulcanelli…-

The man quickly produce a weapon and shoots 3 times.
The agent falls.
From the ground, the agent shoots against the mysterious man who flees at full speed.
The agent shouts:

- He is a German! He is a German!-

Three agents arrive running. They shoot together against the fugitive that is lost in the dark.
They raise their colleague and take him to the car.

- It was a set up! He was a German… the Nazis know it!-

The agent body convulses in the back seat of the car, the blood runs by his arm and his pistol falls.
The automobile get lost at full speed by the empty streets.

-------(after a few shots)--------(another scene)---------------------

Zuitzerland:

An American general awake in his hotel room when listening the ring of telephone sounding.
He offs-hook the earpiece and listens to a voice that says:

-He is already here. He wants to see you now.

Without saying a word he hangs. Its weapon is gotten up and taken from the bureau next to his bed.
The general leaves wrapping his trousers and two armed bodyguards flank him to
the automobile with the standards of the American Navy.

The automobile parks in front of the door of an old castle in the outskirts of Bern.
In the interior, the general is leaded to a closed door.
Before entering he verifies that his weapon is properly loaded.
He pushes the door and advances, followed by 2 men armed with sub machine guns.

In the dark he distinguishes the silhouette of a man.

-General Randolph. you does not need your weapon- says the man, with calm voice. -and you don't need them- indicating to the bodyguards.

The general analyzes the man for a few seconds, and at his signal the bodyguards leave the room.
The general speak for the first time:

-Tell me who you really are, and tell me if you had spoken with some other agent.-
-The last agent with whom I speak was Jacobo Casanova, and my first name was Archelaus Muranus-.

The man approaches and general Randolph very instinctively approaches his hand to his pistol.
The man faces him. He looks young, but his voice is of an old man.

-... But, to your superiors that name will mean nothing. You better, tell them that you have met with Saint Germain. That will spark their interest.-
-I am authorized to give you protection and whatever you need.-

The man smiles.

-Has been a long time that I do not need anything or anybody.-

The general closes the door when leaving.
In the entrance, he says to his men:

-Watch him. That he doesn't leave the castle.

...Well; its crap. But I think is in the good direction.
What you think?

Where are the auditions? :)

I bet there is only the ugly roll left :(

P.S. Smoke were you making a subtle reference with the character
Jacobo Casanova as the famous Casanova himself implied that he
was an alchemist for in his day this brought popularity. The crafty devil ;)

Yeah; Casanova used to make little changes to his name, depending where he was at the moment, he had a few (Jacobo, Seingalt etc). Some authors think he was an spy.
Casanova himself talked about meeting Saint Germain (seems like Casanova never believed St. Germain stories). But who knows?
He talked too much, but never abound over certain activities related to key navy men he met, and certain ladies close to high military decision makers, and the source of his almost perfect health and extraordinary energy. His memories are disgusting at certain points. but have the taste of true stories.

Best wishes

Production in the making. No success in volunteers calling.
Rationale for poster correction: As I have nothing to do this evening, I do it here!

Smoke is that you...you look like your in pretty bad shape bud, like a disinterred corpse. You look like you could use some Elixir to get some life back in you, or is all that hollywood makeup.

I bet the role of the voice of God is already taken, that damn Morgan Freeman always gets that role.

That's me (it was saturday's morning -disinterred in the middle of a big hang over!-).

Yeah, some elixir will be of help, but as I'm in the very begin in Alchemy, I don't have it yet. The only thing I had at hand that morning was fresh materia prima for urine stone! (lots of it!).
No, just kidding. The picture is of a supposed mummy (taken from the web). But I must confess that I look very similar to it in saturday mornings!
Morgan Freeman will make a good God's voice over (the guy has a lot of experience -he has been God many times!-), maybe, when he passes God can use him as his english official voice! but they said that Howard Stern is more affordable for our budget!

Thanks Leo.

P.D.:
I don't know if I have a problem with my connection, but I just can't see the picture of the corrected poster after I upload it. You can see it?

After a while you need to log back in Smoke...I couldn't
see the posters at first but can now I have logged in.

Thanks for the roll offer Leo. It sounds perfect
except I would need stilts to play a tall guy ;)
