  1. Naming the flaws

    After this very brief review of my life, its now time to engage the 1st of the processes, namely calcination. I will begin by identifying the traits i see as flaws in myself.

    Lethargy: Probably the strongest and most obvious one.
    Weak willpower: self explanatory.
    Defeatism: Could be spawning from my pessimistic view, although not entirely.

  2. On the way into adulthood

    During the rest of my time at school, few things happened . One memorable thing was the depressive state i was in, each day i had to wake up and drag myself to this pathetic excuse of an educational center. I literally hated it. To add to that, i disliked most of my classmates. Their constant babbling about nonsense really acted like a drill in my head. My perception of the world was quite pessimistic and i wanted nothing more than to somehow escape this shithole we called a "civilized society". ...

  3. Conjunction Junction

    I can remember, before I had read up on alchemy in any meaningful way, coming across references to alchemy that almost always mentioned the 'conjugal' (or even 'pornographic') imagery associated with it. Prime examples would be the Rosarium Philosophorum and Donum Dei. I'm sure most people reading this will be familiar with some version of the typical "Conjunction" (siue coitus) imagery:

  4. More Battle of Scorpius and Orion...



    I did mention in the last post how many different versions of the story of the Battle of Scorpius and Orion there are.. While trying to stay under the character limit on my last post, I inadvertently deleted the story I liked the best, compared to the imagery from the manuscript of Virgil's Aeneid. You'll see at the beginning it's mentioning Jupiter, Neptune, and Mercury, who are the subjects of some of the nicest pictures:

  5. Jupiter (Zeus) vs. Sol.

    I think it was in a post/reply discussing the Decans that I brought up that to the Greeks/Romans it was Jupiter that was Ruler/King of the Sky/Heavens. I don't know if anyone noticed in the miniatures that I had posted before, but that's what it is showing.. There's a few images of Jupiter in the image sequence:
