Back in the day I used to say that each time I went into the Casino it was like taking a PS2 or an Xbox and throwing it out the window. LOL. I mean it didn't mean you would loose... I just mean that is what you "risked"... that or a months rent.

So i watched a few episodes of the first season online. It has an extremely 'aussie' feel to it.

I think the only angle i could come across and still meet the criteria would be to do exactly what has been said (be myself) and capitalize on the whole mad scientist goes mining thing and hope that they find it fits in well with their intentions for the show (which i still find unlikely).

The show itself seems to be focused on the whole AUSsie thing... im not a very 'aussie bloke' dude because alot of my ego is based upon knowledge rather than the whole, tough rough flano, aussie bloke shit (even though aussies are really total pussies relative to many other countries around the world).

    Thanks Kiorionis and Awani

Very true. Gambling does do that to money.

In the grocery shop ill be like "Why did you buy that for $7! Wait till its $5 on special!" To the wife.

Then ill hit the pokies or the poker table and smash $400 bucks without even giving it a second thought. The mind vs. Money is an interesting conversation.

I think the most important thing I learned from playing cards was that money does not really have any value. It is an illusion. By loosing and winning and gambling large amounts of money... by doing that, it led me to not love money... money lost its charm... and for that I am very thankful...

Well well... a fellow gambler... I used to be a high stake gambler (cards). First of all "rude" to leave? First rule of poker: trust your gut

Leave when the fuck you wanna leave!!!

These days I play for pleasure not business and not often. My last poker game was about ten months ago at the MGM grand. Played low stake, but raked in 300 USD or something. But the money wasn't really the thing... it was playing amongst real sharks.

Best part was when I kept bullying this older dude with raising everything he raised, making him fold... pussy... lol... he became more and more angry and started talking shit. The guards threw him out.

For those who have the music in their hearts, they must sing and play the song. It is not theirs to decide how or if others hear it or receive it; it is theirs simply to play it and sing it as they are moved to do so.

Aristotle writes about two types of archetypal ‘storytellings’: the Tragedy and the Comedy.

The Tragedy is a person of high status falling, and the Comedy is of a low status person rising.

Don’t know if it’ll help, but I’ve always liked that critique of poetry/art

Yes; good idea Kiorionis. These are the types of thinking i was hoping to hear from you guys. If there is a chance (a small chance) of getting on the show, ill have to show that 'my story' is worth the viewers time and efforts.

It would be interesting to see how a ‘newcomer’ mines opal compared to more experienced miners.

Maybe you could highlight the difficulties/struggles of setting up an opal mine in your audition tape? It makes the story more personal and gives it depth, in my opinion.

    Aham; well observed.

Yes there will have to be certain precautions in place due to that exact reason.

But also, even though the opportunity exists, i still find it highky unlikely that they will chose to put me on TV. Im still very new at the opal game. It would take a hell of an 'audition' tape to be let in i think. Its more of just an exciting moment. If it hapoens to go through; then deep thought and awarness will need to be employed in order to keep the family safe.

Your consideration is well noted. Thank you.

Gee, maybe, just maybe, because... IT'S A TOTALLY UNPROVEN SPECULATION.

EM... you mentioned ~2 months ago that you had moved a 1000 KM away so that some psycho (that you testified against in court) wouldn't be able to track you and your family down. Will being on TV help you stay anonymous? I'm guessing you have thought this through...

    YES! EXACTLY!!!
...From one we attain all we are looking for.
    Meditate on this, friend!
LOL! Why are you trying to condone such utter BULLSHIT theories and boasts? Of course EM is right and it is in fact nothing but a bunch of nonsense. "Our matter" does not really become any of those things. The author is using his totally unproven theories to make such ridiculous boasts.

And "meditating" on the "from one we attain all we are looking for" claim will take you nowhere, as there is NO SUCH "ONE" THING. You could live 1000 years "meditating" about this and it won't make this supposed "one matter" magically appear for you somewhere in nature. It just ain't going to happen, friend. Wake up and smell the coffee. Nature does NOT make this MIXTURE/COMPOSITE that many malicious misleading alchemists call "one matter" under "philosophical" pretexts.

Because it is. Understand the carrier's qualities, and you can work with the passenger within it.

The only difference between "vulgar" and "philosophical", material wise, is whether or not you've got a passenger present...
A car is just a hunk of steel and other misc shit.
It's not until a person gets in it, that something neat happens. (Tis also the reason for needing to understand the keys; can't get into a vehicle that's locked without the key, etc)

Chemistry only looks at the vehicle; the form. Totally misses the passenger.
