Piano notes made visible on the CymaScope

12 Piano notes made visible for the first time

Shannon Novak, a New Zealand-born fine artist, commissioned us to image 12 piano notes as inspiration for a series of 12 musical canvases. We decided to image the notes in video mode because when we observed the 'A1' note we discovered, surprisingly, that the energy envelope changes over time as the string's harmonics mix in the piano's wooden bridge. Instead of the envelope being fairly stable, as we had imagined, the harmonics actually cause the CymaGlyphs to be wonderfully dynamic. Our ears can easily detect the changes in the harmonics and the CymaScope now reveals them--probably a first in acoustic physics.

Capturing the dynamics was only possible with HD video but taming the dynamics of the piano's first strike, followed by the short plateau and long decay phase, was tricky. We achieved the result with the help of a professional audio compressor operating in real time.

Donít let the delusion of reality confuse you regarding the reality of the illusion.

You know, it's been my suspicion that one could create a Stone from simply using what a technical term defines as sympathetic vibration. It's not a new concept, Old Manuscripts referred to it also under different names. When I listen to various pieces of cello, like Bach's unforgettable six suites, I feel like my body is soaking up the music. Thus, music could play a vital role in the evolution of the vegetable Stone, per say.

Mozart has conducted Masonic-themed compositions, which communicate the evolution of the initiate in Freemasonry.

Maybe various compositions of music could make various Stones?

This is quite Wyrd, I think that's the way it's spelled

I've just recently been sharing similar information to some friends privately. The cubes in Roslyn Chapel appear to be cymatic images, I would imagine that a composition of these notes may be quite profound. I'm not at my place, but when I have time I'll post some more information that I've found concerning sound and music that may relate to alchemy.

possible cymatic cubes at Roslyn from this site: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=cubes...9,r:0,s:0,i:75

Very, very interesting, Nibiru. Please do share more when you're able.

My personal research indicates that sound, vocal and classical instruments, may play a vital part in 'evolution', I don't necessarily mean Darwinian.

I'm still not at home, but for now I can share a couple of videos that I found. They discuss a musical scale that's based on the golden-mean/ratio. Apparently our musical scale used to be set to 'A'=432Hz, but has been changed by the powers that be to 'A'=440Hz. By doing this they have thrown our music out of sync with nature in much the same way that our calendar has been altered to keep us in the dark..

    The DNA resonances of the ears respond best to 432 Hz. It is also the logical tuning contained in the overtone series, i.e., C = Binary 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, etc. G = Ternary 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 96, 192, 384, etc. D = 3-Squared, i.e., 9, 18, 36, 72, 144, 288, etc. A = 3-Cubed 27, 54, 108, 216, 432, etc.

You know, I had to look it up, your comments made me remember an article in 21st Century Science & Technology (March-April 1989) by W.J.Hamerman under the title "The Musicality of Living Processes".

He writes: "Living processes are tuned to DNA, which resonates at precisely 42 octaves above the tone C = 256 cycles per second (hertz or Hz). C = 256 happens to be the very tone upon which the classical musical composers from Bach and Mozart through Beethoven and Verdi based their tunings, . . . [and here it comes!] . . . unlike the later unnatural higher tunings of the 20th century" (p.33).

I don't want to cause 'bad blood' among listeners of other types of music, that's not my point, I think the Powers-That-Be more like introduced - very nonchalantly, wink, wink - what we call as 'modern music' and the culture that comes with it. The result is that it's changing our DNA!

And the sounds and music is everywhere!

I scanned in a photo of one of many diagrams Hamerman posted in this article:

    http://forum.alchemyforums.com/attac...0&d=1342896441

It relates to the discussion. It compares the musical and biological scales.

O god! I couldn't insert the photo in this Thread, again.

    ahh nice information, thank you.

432 hz Tuning compared with 440 hz (cello)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YRRX...eature=related

I listened to it and once he retuned to 432 I got shivers down (or rather up) my spine, this tells me everything.

    Thank you,

    Rueb

Italian grandmaster Vivaldi was onto something. I absolutely love cello. What a divine instrument!

(A great cello, the wood that's made out it, is grown and harvested in cold temperature environments where the wood grows much denser. British Tannoy also utilizes this technology in their loudspeakers; I own a pair, and I can tell you from experience that it has a 'warm sound'.)

Here's a link to a webpage that has quite a bit of info on the 432hz tuning, it also has two segments of the song "Silent Night" that you can listen to that are tuned in both 432hz and 440hz for comparison. I've also noticed that the music that's tuned to 432 has much more of a 'feel' to it than the alternative tuning, it just seems much more resounding..

And to make sure the thread stays on topic with Dev's original post, here's a video showing the cymatics behind each note in the 'A'=432Hz scale:
