    R.A.M.S.

After ordering about $600 worth of chems only to do experiments that people swear; black and blue; are a waste of my time, i'm not really inclined to pay any more money toward the art for a little while.

Anyone got some R.A.M.S. to share, maybe not all of it but a few tracts of intersted to get me started?

600 dollars is peanuts compared to what many people here have spent on equipment and literature.

I'm sure you can come up with another 50 bucks IF you want it enough.

I'm sure you can find more if you dig around google for a bit.
Art is Nature in the flask; Nature is a vial thing.

You will learn very quickly that our Art does not cost anyone much money.

$600 is an astounding amount to have already invested! More power to ya. You will be able to use this equipment for further experiments, including spagyrics, which may be of interest to you.

I sent you some of my private collection of Alchemy treatises--months of reading--to keep you busy, and in hopes that it encourages you to purchase the RAMS Catalogue.

The RAMS Catalogue is worth every cent of your money and the best investment into Alchemy you can make right now, elixirmixer.

Goes to show that fancy glassware can be the least of our problems in the art lol

I will add, that despite $20,000 worth of fume hoods, fermenting equipment, heating apparatus, glassware and chems, and a lot more great stuff... doing this art on your own isn't as exciting as it could be. I would love to collaborate more with others, maybe find a central Australian location and set up a 'HUB' for alchemists in Australia (And international alike) to come and practise and ... was going to say 'learn'.... COLLABORATE.. into greater heights. Yes but it is becoming apparent that my underlying understanding of alchemy is lacking, and that it would be fool hearty to move forward before a re-evaluation of my goals and priorities.

And some deep reading. Just looking now at St Dunstans's explanation, i am remembering how simply i used to think of the stone, and now, having moved away from literature and into practise i have turned the simple art into a monster of acids.... Not where i was ment to end up thats for sure.

Thank you guys for all your help and patient nurturing.

If you are looking to study chemistry then you have made a good investment. I would ask yourself, though, what it is you are actually wanting to accomplish. If you want to see some neat reactions in happen inside a flask, go ahead and play with the chemicals you have--you will not be disappointed! On the other hand, if what you said before is true, and it is the wisdom of Alchemy you are truly seeking, every single one of those chemicals and most of your lab equipment is completely useless. The chemicals will get you nowhere with our Art, but if you are ingenuitive you will be able to find appropriate uses for all of your lab equipment. Al-chemistry and chemistry are not the same thing, and this is where so many people get confused and led astray. Let this be a loud and clear warning that working with store bought chemicals will never lead to the successful accomplishment of the Philosopher's Stone. If it is the Great Work you are looking to accomplish, you must first have at least a baseline, fundamental understanding of the Art you art attempting to dive into.

    Baby steps.
