Tried this leaving NaCl out on a cold night and got nothing. It didn't even stick to the mason jar, very thin layer just for tests. There wasn't much dew in the morning either, but just saying. Has anyone a trick for turning NaCl into a water magnet? Maybe after some time in a boiling pot to get rid of anti-caking agents it might work better. Haven't tried that yet, but I know I catch hell trying to keep it in an open glass after it's been in a boiling flask a couple times.
