    Antimony Music

When it was cooled to the point I could pick it up with a paper towel, I noticed a must unusual thing: The block was pinging like a bowl of Rice Crispies made out of silver bells. It went on for minutes and was really quite beautiful, much nicer than the tin or indium cries one reads about. I wonder if it's a coincidence that three elements in a row in the periodic table, indium, tin, and antimony, all cry when cooled or bent. I hope to record this antimony sound soon.

In another text he compares the sound of cooling antimony with that of tibetan singing bowls. I wonder if that phenomenon is somehow related to the claims of a relationship of alchemy and music. There is a star hanging right above the instruments. Maybe it is symbolizing the star regulus of antimony.

I haven't heard any such sounds upon cooling antimony.

Has anyone here heard it in person?

I guess you need large portions to hear it. Nevertheless I consider Theo Gray as a very reliable source. He built himself a periodic table table too:
