It's only a side comment, almost off topic, but the most amazing artistic vision on the Dream that comes after death and the "three chances" (according to Tibetan Buddhism) is the movie ENTER THE VOID (Gaspar Noe). The movie is mostly about what happens when someone does NOT understand that he is "dreaming" (even if it's a "special dream", the one that comes after death) and misses his chances. It's mostly based on the Bardo Todol.

Also a side note, but Noe's close friend Jan Kounen told me that he initiated Noe with ayahuasca as part of the pre-production process.

Don’t let the delusion of reality confuse you regarding the reality of the illusion.

The afterlife "dream": the Bardo Todol.

The techniques: the six dharmas of Naropa

    yeah, I agree with you.

Castaneda's "controlled folly" is (for example) a much better and relatively ballast-less way of dealing with the world(s) of the Tonal.
I don't think in terms of 'current' and 'coming' life (if you meant this by 'current persona' - if you meant something else, the following words don't actually fit to what you maybe wanted to say ). Nobody really knows what comes after death and my view on afterlife changes now and then depending on my experiences and my favoured taste of it. For me liberation has nothing to do with things coming after death or with doing some transition to something better or more important than this life. For me liberation means to be able to follow my own will within the given limits of life.

Focussing too much on yourself though can inflate your own issues in an unhealthy way. I think it is important to have a strong self to be able (among other things) to know what you want and to have the strength to do it, but of course it is not the only important thing in life.

Edit: What do you mean by liberation?

Castaneda is on my book list for quite a while. Well, he will sit there for some more time, I guess. Now I want to go for Alchemy.

Very interesting thread. Thanks Andros. Has anyone been able to lucid dream on a consistent or semi-consistent basis. I would love to pick your brain.

It's "Andro", not "Andros"... But "Andros" also has a nice ring to it

Just teach yourself to lucid dream and find out...

There are some very good reading materials and websites and forums out there...

Check out Robert Waggoner, he's one of the best out there IMO.

Andro tends to be very selective.in what he does and does not share but yes, he is a full-blown professional dreamwalker. And there are other people here who have success with this type of thing aswell.

The most success I've had is going from a completely wakeful state all-the-way into the dream world without losing consciousness. It took a huge amount of tenacity and willpower, probably the most I've ever invoked. I just layed in bed, repeating indefinitely the mantra 'I will maintain awareness for about 2 hours straight until my.body fell asleep. Was quite the experience. Should probably try it again some time.
If at first you don't succeed....

I was looking for some way to access other realms I tried astral projection several times but something always happens and it won't let me "go" so I remembered the lucid dream I searched the forum and found this I won't reveal my age I'm not old enough and when it was fine little boy had very lucid dreams (often nightmares) and was terrified and over time it started to turn into hell and then I stopped, lucid dreaming and remembering dreams

I'm trying to do reality tests

Would it be possible for me to regain this "ability" or as I "disgusted" it will I not be able to lucid dream as often?

Note: I suffered a lot from sleep paralysis and fear of the unknown, I wonder if now with a more advanced understanding of the unknown I can deal better with lucid dreaming, visions and fears, lately I've been hearing strange sounds in my head, I don't know what it is could mean.
