New member introduction - Laramie
Hello,
I have been practicing and studying alchemy for about four years. I lived in New York for a while and was able to attend some of Brian Cotnoir's classes and his recommendations set me on the path. My work is directed towards initiation based primarily around Jean Dubuis' philosophy. My background before that was in hermeticism and Zen buddhism. I have done primarily the spagyric work but this year I have begun working with metallic salts. I'm very much a beginner so I would to be able to share on the forum and learn from everyone's experience.

Welcome to the forums!
What spagyric preparation was your favorite?
Was any of what you learned from these guys applicable in any areas of your life or useful in any significant way?

Hi,
I was very interested in the history and methods of creating the Ens Melissa. I used the method with other herbs for a planetary exercise.
I do feel that the work of Brian Cotnoir, in terms of my painting and Jean Dubuis, in the overall landscape of my spiritual practice have brought the work into every aspect of my life. I am often surprised by parallels in the lab and within my consciousness. It is all realizing the imperfect nature of matter, of which the ordinary mind is a part, and the possibility and responsibility to transform.

Hi Laramie,
There's a project (and a town) with the same name as yours.
Welcome!
(& be nice
)

Yes, thankfully no relation! Thank you for welcoming me.
