How to break down metals?

There is only one (1) substance that can be used to "break down metals in alchemy" and that is Our SM (Spiritus Mundi), Our Mercury, etc.

This is the beginning of the processes of "Solve et Coagula".

There are other substances that will break down metals but you asked specifically about Alchemy.

Hi Lakshmana you may not be aware that the author of that book died from consuming substances that he believed to be Alchemic.

Unfortunately for him those substances were not Alchemic and this should be a warning to all reading this and any material written by him.

To resolve a problem is to find a solution or to fix the problem.
I know this does not help with your question but it is interesting.

I do believe that you can break down metals with certain types of spirits and or salts but I could not elaborate beyond this because I honestly do not know and have not done so myself.

The solve and coagula might lead you down some interesting avenues however!
What metals are you looking to break down and rebuild philosophically?

The Mercury used in an Alchemic Process is not Mercury (Hg) .... the Only Mercury that is needed is Our Mercury, SM, Secret Solvent, etc.
